The Lizard

The latest technology in high pressure automated blasting is the Magnetic Lizard M2500.

'The Lizard' is a self propelled 40k magnetic stripper. It functions between 10,000 and 40,000psi and is capable of stripping 40m² per hour to a Sa2.5 blast standard. It is adhered onto the surface via a permanent magnet and is 'driven' over targeted areasto be stripped.

'The Lizard' operates with a two man setup; one operator, and one remote driver. It is specially designed for the semi-automatic cleaning or stripping of large flat areas such as tanks, hulls and large steel structures.

Transpacific Industrial Solutions are currently undertaking work in the marine industry for the successful cleaning of container ships and find that 'The Lizard' dramatically reduces man hours and therefore ship downtime.

'The Lizard' has proven itself with 30 percent increase in the tank cleaning production at Marsden Point Refinery.
